Do Eyelash extensions ruin your natural lashes?

No, no and NO.

Applied correctly and with the health of your natural lashes taken into consideration, damage does not occur to the natural lash or follicle.

Our natural lashes have a growth cycle which in full cycles every 12 weeks, but each individual lash can fall out and re-grow in around 6-8 weeks. The extensions will mostly come out with your natural lashes when you have routine aftercare in place and regular maintenance fill appointments.

How long does the application take?.

The process takes approximately 2 hours for a Classic full set, 2-2.5 for Hybrid and Light Volume. 3+ for a dark dramatic Volume set. You relax with your eyes closed and there is no pain as this is a non-invasive procedure. Often clients are so relaxed they fall asleep.

how long do they last?

Lash extensions will realistically last between 3-5 weeks when you take care of them. Remember this a semi-permanent service where regular fills are needed every 3 weeks to ensure the quality and fullness of your new set.

A natural lash has a life of around 25-28 days and as each one grows and falls out, so will the extension attached. If your hair and nails grow relatively fast you may find that your lashes shed and renew themselves quicker during different periods of the year. Lifestyle and daily routine will also affect how long you need between fills. If you’re a regular swimmer or go to the gym, sweat a lot you may find you need to cleanse more often.

How are lash extensions applied?

A single natural eyelash is isolated and a lash extension is glued to the top of your own natural eyelash approximately 1mm from the eyelid so
neither the glue or the lash has contact with the skin.

If i have a classic set, can i have hybrid or volume fills?

Of course! A lot of clients will start with a Classic Full Set and then transition to Hybrid over a few fills to their desired fullness. Alternatively you can also go the other way and create a more simple, bold look by having Classic Fills if you have a Hybrid/Volume Set!

I would always recommend having a Full Set, Fill and then a touch up before the big so that you have the chance to tweak any little things, such as shape or fullness before the big day. If you’ve had lashes previously and have a clear, specific idea of what you want then we can have a single Full Set appointment with a detailed consultation on your ideal style, length and curl.
